TREKKING! A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE

This year we the students of Std.VII went for trekking to Madhei Wild Life Sanctuary.
40 students attended this trek. We were accompanied by 4 staff members and two guides. We started our journey to Valpoi in a bus. We reached the spot at 11:30 a.m. They said that we will be visiting four waterfalls. After a 500 meters walk through the forest we reached the first waterfall. It was a small, but beautiful. The water was very clear. It was a magnificent sight. We spend one hour playing and bathing in the waterfall. It was the most enjoyable experience to bathe in a waterfall.
From there we walked at least 500 meters to reach the next waterfall. One again we entered the water and the boys kept splashing water at each other. We had our lunch and we shared our food with each other. After lunch we walked for another 1 km to the next waterfall. It was a big one. The guide told us that the rocks are slippery and it is dangerous to enter. So we were not allowed to enter. The teachers kept a strict vigil. But the sight was very amazing. Many of us clicked photos.
The fourth waterfall was very close. We were not allowed to enter because it was not very safe. On our return to the bus we walked through the green pastures. It was a very beautiful view. We found it difficult to walk because our legs were getting stuck in the mud. We reached back by 4:30. This was indeed a memorable journey, We realized the beauty of nature and our beautiful Goa. We thank our teachers and the 2 guides for our safe journey. It was a trip worth remembering. We do hope our school will conduct more such trips every year.
