Most people will admit that school life is the best in the lifetime and of course it is. But school life in St. Britto High School is of yet another level. The memories of it are simply mesmerizing.
St. Britto is a place of complete holistic development. It is a matter of pride and a great privilege of being a student of St. Britto High School, Mapusa. This alma mater has been a very important part of my life. The six years which I have spent in this institution are the most memorable ones. The school provides equal opportunities for excellent academics as well as sports and co-curricular activities.
St. Britto stands apart from other schools in many ways. It has a beautiful concept of introducing mentoring classes and moral science classes which are very important during these recent times when children are losing their moral values and going astray. The discipline and the academic excellence, the dedication and passion of the teachers to help weak students, their selfless service for the school sets a class of its own. The hiking, camps, field trips, picnics, school competitions which were held provided us the skill of how we could interact in a group, enjoy despite differences. The school auditorium has been a platform for students to show their talents.
Here each teacher contributes in her/his way for the betterment of student. The bright students are encouraged to perform even better and the lesser bright students are trained to achieve what seemed impossible to them. Hence for these years they have consistently brought in 100% passing results in the SSC.
St. Britto’s is definitely trying hard to give the best to its students despite this quick changing and competitive education system. It has provided an excellent infrastructure and now promotes education by use of projectors. It has also upgraded the science laboratory, the Audio Visual room and for the safety of the students has installed CCTV cameras in the class rooms and in the campus.
Not to forget the very emotional, flawless, well executed and planned passing out parade for the tenth std.
Passing out from the school is not enough. Now it is time for us ex-students to contribute to the school by helping it in every possible way. We must set example of being a sincere and hardworking citizen of the country and bring up the name of our Alva mater.
Let us all be a part of this endeavour by helping generously in achieving the aims of this mighty institution and let the flag of St. Britto high school fly high.
