The time that I spent at St. Britto High School will be the most memorable time of my life. I have built ever-lasting relationships with everyone at Brittos. It was a second home for me. More than colleagues we were like a family.
The school is blessed with a very charming, calm and strong-headed chairman – Fr. Simon Fernandes S.J. His magnetic character and quiet presence in the school is very much assuring and comforting to the staff as well as the students.
The charismatic leadership of Fr. Cedric Fernandes S.J., as the Headmaster, has added vibrancy to the school and its environment. He is well supported by the Asst. Headmistress Tr. Yvette Pais and the Primary In-charge Fr. Anand D’souza S.J. The various activities conducted in the school infuse enthusiasm in the students as well as the teachers. Fr. Cedric always believes in the holistic development of the students. It is because of his infectious enthusiasm that the school is always bustling with so many activities.
There was never a dull moment in my three and a half years of tenure at Brittos. The loving and affectionate students, the helpful and supportive colleagues and the ever-smiling and approachable Headmaster have all added a beautiful chapter in my life.
Life after Brittos will go on but it will not be the same.
Today everyone says that St. Britto High School is one of the best schools around. The credit of achieving this excellence goes to the entire teaching and non-teaching staff, the students as well as the Jesuit Management. The Jesuits are well known around the world for their immense contribution in the field of education. The Jesuit Management at St. Britto High School offered me an insight into their world. It helped me understand the reasons why they are so much revered in the field of education. As far as I could understand and figure it out, it is because they follow a simple philosophy - value and respect every individual as s/he is a creation of GOD. They value and respect every opinion and are always open to feedback. They believe in taking along everyone in their efforts to impart the Jesuit values of education. They are always willing to add a new dimension to the field of education and work for the greater glory of GOD. Their selfless and dedicated service in the field of education is essentially a service towards the greater cause of humanity. May the Almighty bless them in all their endeavours and help them to bring light into the dark world of ignorance around.
It was definitely an honour and privilege for me to be a part of this great institute and share the staffroom with wonderful teachers. I will fondly cherish the memories that I have gathered at Brittos. The smiles and laughter, the cries of joy and tears of pain, the birthday parties, the feast celebrations, the songs and dances, the sheer delight of picnics – and the list goes on and on. All these memories are etched in my heart and will always bring a smile on my face. Somewhere deep down in my heart I will know that there are people who loved and appreciated me for what I am.
I would like to express my gratitude towards the Management, the teaching and non-teaching staff and the students for giving me so much love and affection. I truly appreciate it.
I wish luck to each and every one at St. Britto High School in their endeavours to bring about joy and happiness in the lives of those around them. Believe in yourselves and do not give up the good work that you are doing.
Love you all. Good Luck. GOD BLESS YOU!!
